What is VO₂ max testing?

VO₂ max testing measures your maximum oxygen uptake during intense exercise, helping determine your aerobic capacity.

How does lactate threshold testing work?

Lactate threshold testing identifies the exercise speed/power at which lactate begins to accumulate in your blood, crucial for optimising endurance performance and determining training zones.

How long does a testing session take?

Most testing sessions take 60-90 minutes, including setup, testing protocol, and a detailed results consultation with our performance specialists.

Do I need to prepare for testing?

Yes, avoid intense training 24 hours before testing, stay hydrated, and arrive well-rested. You know your body better than anybody else, but we will provide preparation guidance when you book.

What will I receive after testing?

You will receive a comprehensive personalised physiological report based on results from your test, goals and questions you have (e.g. training, preparation, nutrition, recovery).

How often should I retest?

Retesting is beneficial, depending on your goals and training, testing can be beneficial every 4-6 months, but it is up to you. Retesting provides you a repeated test to track your progress and compare your progress between tests, and how to continue to build on progress made.
