Resting Metabolic Rate Measurement
Understanding your metabolism is the foundation of effective nutrition and health management. Unlike generic online calculators that use estimates based on age and weight, a Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test at Elevate provides a precise measurement of your unique energy requirements and fuel utilisation.
What to Expect During Your Assessment
The RMR test is a 60-minute assessment conducted in a relaxed environment at Hustle Wymondham. You will lie comfortably on a couch while your expired gases are analysed and used to assess oxidation of fat and carbohydrates and your RMR.
To ensure the highest level of accuracy, this test must be completed following an overnight fast of at least 10 hours. Because of this, testing slots are typically available at 07:00 or 08:30. If you cannot find a suitable time online, please get in touch to arrange a custom appointment.
